Confidence in Recruitment

Last Fall, I went through recruitment with Deloitte Consulting.

To prepare, I:
🌐 Started networking 6 months in advance
πŸ“š Prepped for the case study 3 months in advance
πŸ—“οΈ Participated in 4 Deloitte-sponsored events

And I STILL didn’t get an offer.

When the rejection call came, I initially felt so defeated, like all my work was for nothing.

But, instead of giving up, I decided to view it as a learning experience, and to carry the skills I gained to other interviews.

The next thing I knew, I had two offers for amazing internships.

➑️ As fall recruitment season approaches, this is a reminder to not get discouraged when things don’t go as hoped.

Getting an offer does not define who you are as a person.

The right opportunity will present itself, and it’s not always the one you had in mind.
